1. To help us grow in the knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18), we are studying the Gospel of John. 2. We are presently examining the information revealed in John 11. 3. Previously, we covered some introductory matters found in vs.1-19. a. Jesus was informed that Lazarus was sick. b. Lazarus was from Bethany, located near Jerusalem. c. We learn from John 10:39-40 that Jesus had left Jerusalem because of an attempt to kill Him. d. After 2 days Jesus went to Bethany where Martha and Mary, Lazarus' sisters, were grieving. e. Lazarus had been in the grave 4 days. 4. In this lesson we are studying the information presented in John 11:20-57. Discussion: I. (John 11:20-27) JESUS TALKED WITH MARTHA
