let us examine the lord's words
(matthew 24:35)

Introduction:

         1. This morning we showed from Matthew 4:23; 9:35 that Jesus was devoted to teaching and preaching
             during His ministry.
         2. In Matthew 24:35 Jesus revealed how special His words are when He said that they "shall not pass away."
         3. Since they are so special, "let us examine the Lord's words."
         4. In our lesson we are studying passages in John that relate to the Lord's words.

         D. John 14:24

II.          THE  LORD'S  WORDS  WERE  VALIDATED  BY  HIS  WORKS

         A. John 3:1-2
         B. John 14:10

         A. John 6:63
         B. John 6:68
         C. John 7:30-32, 45-46

IV.         THE  LORD'S  WORDS  ARE  ASSOCIATED  WITH  SPECIAL  BLESSINGS

         A. John 5:24
         B. John 8:31-32
         C. John 15:7
         D. John 15:10
         E. John 15:14

V.          THE  LORD'S  WORDS  ARE  ASSOCIATED  WITH  CERTAIN  RESPONSIBILITIES

         A. John 12:47-48
         B. John 14:15
         C. John 14:21, 23

VI.         THE  LORD  GAVE  HIS  WORDS  TO  THE  APOSTLES

         A. John 15:15
         B. John 17:6-8, 14
         C. John 14:26

Conclusion:

         1. We have seen that the Lord's words are very special.
         2. Let us study them, love them, and put them into practice.
         3. Let us never change or alter them in any way.
