1. According to Psalm 85:6, God's people need to be revived on an ongoing basis. 2. One of the keys to revival is found in Psalm 85:8: "I will hear what God the Lord will speak." 3. The Scriptures contain a number of great themes that need to be studied regularly. 4. We are beginning a series of lessons in which we will examine 13 of these "great themes of the Bible." 5. (1 Peter 4:19) He is called "a faithful Creator." B. God's creative power is declared in Genesis 1:1. C. The details of God's Creation are revealed in Genesis 1:3-31. 1. II. THE SCRIPTURES EMPHASIZE THE FACT THAT GOD CREATED MAN
A. God is referred to as man's Creator in Ecclesiastes 12:1. B. The details of God's creation of man and woman are given in Genesis 2:7, 18-24. C. Jesus endorsed the Genesis account of man's creation (Mark 10:6).
III. OUR STUDY OF GOD'S CREATION SHOULD CAUSE US TO BE REVIVED
A. God deserves to be praised because of His Creation (Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 148:1-5). B. God deserves to be praised because of His creation of man today (Psalm 139:13-16). C. Have you taken the time today to reflect upon the fact that God is our Creator?
