         2. Two of the greatest Old Testament prophets were Elijah and Elisha.
         3. Elisha succeeded Elijah as God's prophet to Israel.
             a. Elisha demonstrated great faith on several occasions.
             b. God accomplished a number of mighty works through Elisha.

         3. (Acts 3:12-26) Peter indicated that Jesus fulfilled this prophecy.
         4. By His works Jesus proved He was that Prophet (John 3:2).
             a. He performed miracles involving food.
                 1) (Matthew 14:15-21) Jesus fed the 5,000.
                 2) (Matthew 15:32-38) Jesus fed the 4,000.
             b. He also cleansed lepers.
                 1) (Luke 5:12-13) Jesus cleansed a man of leprosy.
                 2) (Luke 17:11-14) Jesus cleansed 10 men of leprosy.
         5. Today we must listen to Christ, the greatest Phrophet of all (Hebrews 1:1-3).
