Jesus Believed the Old Testament Scriptures
(Matthew 5:17-18)

Introduction:

         1. In these verses Jesus expressed His unwavering belief in the Scriptures.
         2. Because He believed the Scriptures, He was able to answer a question that Job asked: "If a man die,
shall he live again?" (Job 14:14).
         3. During His ministry Jesus taught that the dead will be raised.
         4. In our lesson we are examining 5 additional doctrines that Jesus taught.
         5. Our study will lead us to conclude: "Jesus believed the Old Testament Scriptures."
         6. To be His followers we must have the same convictions.

from the flood in the ark.
         C. However, Jesus revealed His belief in Luke 17:26-27.
         D. To be the Lord's true followers we must have the same convictions He had.

IV.         JESUS  BELIEVED  THAT  GOD  DESTROYED  THE  PEOPLE  OF  SODOM

         B. Unfortunately, many people reject the reason why God destroyed Sodom.
