1. In Mark 16:15-16 the Lord's Great Commission is recorded. a. Jesus told the apostles to preach the Gospel to everyone (vs.15). b. He also told them what to preach so people could be saved (vs.16). 2. We learn from Mark 16:19-20 that the Lord ascended and the apostles followed His instructions. 3. The Lord gave the apostles a plan for carrying out His mission (Acts 1:8). 4. The book of Acts shows how the apostles followed this plan and reached many people with the Gospel. 5. In this lesson we are looking at a number of "people that obeyed the Lord" as a result of learning the Gospel.

Conclusion:
1. The book of Acts shows how men and women from various backgrounds obeyed the Gospel. 2. These people understood the point made in Hebrews 5:9: Jesus is "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him." 3. Have you followed the Lord's instructions?
