II. THE DETAILS OF THE LORD'S BURIAL
A. The details of the Lord's burial are recorded in: 1. Matthew 27:57-66 2. Mark 15:42-47 3. Luke 23:50-56 4. John 19:38-42. B. According to these verses,: 1. Joseph received permission from Pilate to bury Jesus' body a. Joseph was "a rich man" from Arimathaea. b. He was a disciple of Jesus. c. He was "an honorable counselor." d. Being a good and just man, he did not go along with the events that took place. 2. Joseph buried Jesus' body on the evening of the preparation day -- the Sabbath was quickly approaching 3.
