The Psalms 27

Introduction:

         1. Following His resurrection, Jesus said He had fulfilled everything written about Him "in the law of
Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms"
(Luke 24:44).
         2. According to Luke 24:45-47, Jesus was specifically referring to His death, His resurrection, and His
             giving of the Great Commission.
         3. Passages from each section of the Old Testament that deal with these subjects include:
             a. Genesis 3:14-15 [the Law of Moses]
             b. Isaiah 53 [the prophets]
             c. Psalm 22 [the Psalms].
         4. In this lesson we are examining Psalm 22 and the fulfillment of several prophecies made by David
             about Christ.
